
Funeral services for Mrs. Scarbrough will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the South Chapel of George A. Smith & Sons Funeral Home with Bros. Adrian Knipper and Mark Cagle officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in South Jackson.
Pallbearers to serve will be Robert Clifford, Jerry Phillips, Kevin Trowbridge, Neal Wright, Jack Couch, Wayne Warren and Larry Woody.
Lula was born on August 12, 1935 in Chester County, TN to the late Alford Butler and Carmen Adcock Clifford.
Mrs. Scarbrough was a member of Malesus Baptist Church where she served as church secretary and First Grade Sunday School teacher for many years.
She was a retired Probate Clerk from the Madison County Probate Court.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Francis Phillips and a brother, Neal Clifford.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronald Gwyn Scarbrough; two daughters, Julie Bennett (Rusty) of Clarksdale, MS and Pam Scarbrough of Jackson, TN; two brothers, Robert Clifford (Anna) of Pinson, TN and Marvin Clifford (Cecile) of Charlotte, NC; two granddaughters, Abbey and Presley Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the South Chapel of George A. Smith & Sons Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at 3:00 PM.
