Marjorie was born in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late Rev. William Floyd and Evie Tines. She grew up in the Bemis community, where she attended school and graduated from Bemis High School. Following graduation, Marjorie pursued a successful career in the financial industry, working as a comptroller and consultant for the automobile dealership industry.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Carlos McNatt; and her sisters, Charlene Wilson, Rachel McKinney, and Mickie Simmons.
She is survived by her children, Jeff McNatt and girlfriend, Victoria, James McNatt and wife Rita, Ramona Cavin and husband Gary, Jerry McNatt and wife Cheri, and David McNatt and wife Sheran; her grandchildren, Julia McNatt, Carly McNatt, Nicole McNatt Miller, Shae Cupples Melton, Tony Richardson, Tracy McNatt, Josh McNatt, Kristi McNatt, and Carrie McNatt DeBardelaben; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
No matter what you called her—Mom, Mother, or Memaw—Marjorie was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a woman of great faith and the rock her family could always turn to during the storms of life. Her unconditional love and steadfast support carried so many of those she loved through even the darkest of times.
There are givers and takers in this life, and Marjorie was most certainly a giver. She gave freely of her time, her resources, her love, and her patience. Above all, she gave the gift of unwavering encouragement, always offering strength and reassurance to those who needed it most.
A service to celebrate the life of Marjorie McNatt will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 12:00 pm at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial following in Rocky Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 am, two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Marjorie’s life was defined by faith, generosity, and a deep devotion to her family. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on through the generations of her family and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
