Mary Alice Anderson, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 16, 1952, in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late Gene and Mildred Stepp Volner.
Mary worked at the Bemis Mill, where she met and fell in love with her beloved husband, Curtis Anderson. They shared 38 years of marriage filled with love, family, and many cherished memories.
Mary enjoyed shopping and spending time working on her crafts. She loved attending church and treasured every opportunity to gather with her family. Thanksgiving and Christmas were especially meaningful to her, as she loved cooking, celebrating, and making special memories with her loved ones during the holidays.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her three brothers, Jerry Volner, William Volner, and Richard Volner.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 38 years, Curtis Anderson Sr.; her daughter, Olivia Anderson; her son, Curtis Anderson Jr.; and her three cherished grandchildren, Ainsley, Ella Kate, and Case.
Mary will be remembered for her love of family, her caring heart, and the joy she found in bringing those she loved together. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel on Tuesday, August 11, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the chapel on Wednesday, August 12, at 1:00 p.m. The committal service will follow immediately at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Mary’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family, who will forever cherish the love and memories they shared with her.
