
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 4th, 2011 at 1 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Jackson.
Elizabeth was born on August 1st, 1934 in Shreveport, LA to the late Joe Thurman and Lura Lorean Jones Riddle. Elizabeth received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Union University, and her Masters Degree in Education from Memphis State. She taught in the Jackson Madison County School system for over thirty years. Elizabeth also served her community by being a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, and also the Eastern Star. Elizabeth was Baptist in Faith and was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson for many years.
She is survived by one brother, Marvin E. Riddle and wife Ruth of Pocahontas, AR; two nephews, James Louis Riddle of Jonesboro, AR and Joe Thomas Riddle of North Little Rock, AR, and many friends.
Other than her parents, she also was preceded in death by her brother, J.T. Riddle.
A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, February 4th, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Jackson, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
Charitable contributions in memory of Ms. Elizabeth may be made to First Baptist Church of Jackson or to Hospice of West Tennessee.
