Mike and I became good friends after we both graduated from Bartlett H. S. and we both worked at Shainbergs Warehouse in Memphis. I only saw him one time after we both moved away . This was several years ago when my business brought me to Jackson and I looked Mike up. He was working at a car dealership on Highland and we enjoyed a visit discussing old times and many of the stupid things we did together. I made several trips to Jackson with Mike in his 1955 green Chevrolet and was able to meet his Mom and several other relatives. Even though time separated our relationship I will always remember him as a great friend and pray he is now with the Lord. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

When we were kids, I had such a big crush on Mike. He was so cute, sweet and smart. We are cousins. Sometimes Mike would come to Aunt Ree and Bobo's with his dad, my Uncle Jimmy. Mike forgot his drawing board after visiting and somehow I acquired it. I still have it. At Aunt Ree's funeral I asked Mike if he wanted it back and he told me to keep it. I think of him everytime I see that drawing board. Mike was such a sweet, kind man.
I didn't see Mike very often, but he will be missed. My memories of him are part of my life and I will never forget him.
May God embrace his family and give them comfort and peace as they mourn their loss of a wonderful man.
