Nancy O Browning

Funeral Services for Nancy Browning, age 81 of Jackson, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons, with Mark Howard and Rev. Grant Gaines officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Nancy died November 12, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Mrs Browning was born on July 23, 1933 in Jackson, TN, the daughter of Ives Robert Magill and Ona Louise Cantrell. She was an administrative assistant at T.V.A. over 20 years, and a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was also involved in Jail ministry for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Mr. Clay Browning; a daughter, Carla Browning Tims; a grandson, Josh Bowles; a great-grandson, Jacob Bowles and a sister, Charlotte M. Wilson.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Browning was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Kay Browning Cleek.

Pallbearers to serve are John Bengtson, Jack Colwick, Mike Rowland, Ron Smith, Charlie Pate, and Bobby Greene.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m.

The family would give a special thanks to Bridgett Hill who has been a wonderful caregiver to Mrs. Nancy Browning.
