Norman was born on November 9, 1935 in Jackson, TN to the late Landon and Virda Anderson Presson. Norman was a Mason and Shriner. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and Tennessee Army National Guard. He was also a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, two sisters, and one brother.
Norman is survived by his sons, Ted Presson (Sandra) and Terry Presson (Margo); five grandchildren, Matt (Jill), Sarah, Bonnie, and John Presson, and Ashley Bartlett (Jason); three great grandchildren, Aubrey and Nathan Bartlett and Ryan Presson. He is also survived by four brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 12-2 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens.
