He was born on March 13, 1942 in Jackson, TN to the late J.D. and Katherine Rushton Moore. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He also served in the Tennessee Army National Guard and was honorably discharged, earning the rank of SSG. He was also a Truck Driver. He loved to go fishing, gardening, cooking for family. He liked to tinker and work on cars. His team was the Cardinals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Alice Cooper Moore of Jackson; daughters, Bonnie Moore, Connie Moore, Tina Moore, and Angela Smith; sons, Michael Mcallister and Camron Moore; step daughters, Toni Ring, Tina Williams, Tracey Bean, and Dixie Curry; step son, Clay Parker; numerous grandchildren, several great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren; sister, Charlene Barnett (Tony); and his brother, Paul Moore.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at a visitation to be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army.
