Patricia Bishop Little

She was born on February 8, 1934 in Kingsport, TN, the daughter of the late William Thomas Bishop and Dora Alma Taylor Bishop. Mrs. Little retired from many years of service as an employee of the American Red Cross, her last position being military liaison assisting soldiers abroad who had lost loved ones return home. She was a member of Forest Heights United Methodist Church until she was unable to attend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sherrell Little; and three sisters, JoAnn Phlegar, Bernice Sams, and Jackie Fuller.

She is survived by her children, Sherry Little Short and John “Chuck” Little; two grandchildren, Patrick Short and Melissa Short; as well as several nieces and nephews who knew her as the fun aunt.

A service to celebrate the life of Patricia Bishop Little will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon, one hour prior to the service.
