Patsie Vinson Staggs, age 75 of Mercer, TN passed from this life on January 8, 2012 at her home. She was a born on July 27, 1937 in Mercer. Patsie was married to Talmage Newton Staggs on June 5, 1955. They were married for 49 years before he passed away in 2004. She worked as a secretary for many years. She also was an active member of Maple Springs Baptist Church and the King’s Daughters Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Staggs is survived by her son, Mark Alan Staggs, her grandson, Jordan Alan Staggs and her mother, Carmen Daniel Bishop, and her brother, Bernie Vinson all of Mercer.
Visitation with the family will be held on from 5 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, starting at 10 am until the funeral service at 11 am, all held at Maple Springs Baptist Church in Mercer, TN. Bro. Steve McKowan and Bro. Roger hatch will officiate. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be; Dennis Collins, Larry King, Josh Vinson, Chuck Underwood, Rick Tyson and Bedford Byrum.
