Peggy Jane Vinson

Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens with Major Jayne Brewster officiating. Interment will follow the services. Pallbearers to serve will be Cody Vinson, Justin Parker, Tony Vinson, James Vinson, Bobby Vinson, Jr. and Gabriel Duncan.

Mrs. Vinson was born on May 23, 1931 to the late James A. and Bertha Snellgrove. She attended J.B. Young High School and worked for International Paper for over 40 years. She was Baptist by faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby H. Vinson, Sr.; siblings, Knox Snellgrove, Arthur Wayne Snellgrove, James O. Snellgrove, Mary Griffin, Lois Hill and Violet Hughes.

She is survived by four children, James W. Vinson and wife Shirley Shumate Vinson, Bobby H. Vinson, Jr., Dana C. Parker and Tony R. Vinson; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
