Rixie Mae married my cousin Grady when I was still quite young so I have known her before they were married and attended family get togethers, church, etc. together. Rixie reminded me of my mother. She was soft spoken, very sweet, kind hearted, never said anything bad about anybody and had such a sweet smile. She was a true Christian and lived it every day. She once told me she prayed for me every night. That meant so much to me. I loved Rixie Mae and will miss her. We are losing such a special person here on earth but there is no doubt she is in heaven.

Rixie was such a dear, dear lady. I worked with her in the mid 1970’s at Cravens Piano & Organ Co. in Jackson. I will never forget her. She beautifully exemplified her strong Christian faith.
