He graduated from Dental School at the University of Tennessee, Memphis and practiced dentistry in Jackson for over thirty years.
Dr. Young was preceded in death by his father, Billy Young.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Byrum Young; daughters, Ashley Carlile and husband Jason of Dallas, Georgia and Rachel Young of Jackson; mother, Nadine Smith Young of Jackson.
Other survivors include two grandchildren, Jaley Carlile and Chainey Carlile.
Pallbearers to serve are Jason Carlile, Chase Diamond, John Byrum, Gary Austin, John Robert Moore and Robert Moore.
Honorary pallbearer to serve is Donnie Vales.
