Ruth P. Collins

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth P. Collins, age 80 of Jackson, TN, will be held Monday, July 23, 2012 at 2 p.m., at George A. Smith & Sons North Chapel. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Collins was born on July 7, 1932 in Lake County, TN to the late Olie and Ola Chandler Perkins. She married Parnell Collins in 1948, and they were married 37 years until his death in 1986. She was the manager of Rolling Acres Mobile Home Park for 27 years.

She is survived by a son, Ricky (Linda) Collins of Jackson, TN; two brothers, Robert (Linda) Perkins and Rocky (Carol) Perkins, both of Jackson, TN; sister, Pat Haggard of Jackson, TN; two grandchildren, Sgt. Lee (Michelle) Collins of Chattanooga, TN and Laura Collins of Jackson, TN; two great-grandsons, Zadyn and Zakary Collins and a great-granddaughter, Zoe Collins.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., at George A. Smith & Sons North Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Victory Free Will Baptist Church, 3007 North Highland Ave., Jackson, TN 38305.
