Sarah was born on April 24, 1941 in Madison County, TN, the daughter of the late Jessie Franklin and Eva Hathway Whitmore. Right out of high school, Sarah went to work for the former South Central Bell Telephone Company where she retired as a supervisor after 50+ years of service. She was married to the late Charles Alvin "Bill" Case and was a member of Victory Worship Center in Jackson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Cordie Essary, Earl Whitmore, Helen Alexander, and Frankie Turner; her grandson, Josh King; and great grandchildren, Camryn Case and Eastn Viera.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Graham; stepdaughters, Ginger Case Bly and Bambi Case; stepsons, Charles A. Case, Jr. and Gregory Alan Case; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. J. P. Stovall officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers to serve will be Tyler Graham, Dalton Cole, Shane Case, Charlie Case, Shaun Golden, and David Bly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Sarah’s memory be directed to the Alzheimers Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
