T.C. Carter

T.C. Carter, age 79 of Denmark, passed away on the morning of August 19, 2021 after a brave long, hard battle for many years with cancer; his devoted wife of 56 years, 7 months, and 19 days was at his bedside.

T.C. was born on January 22, 1942 in Denmark, TN, the son of the late Robert E. Lee Carter and Dorthy Lee Pearson Carter. T.C. honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1959-1963, spending most of his time in Bermuda. He loved his family, fishing, gardening, and most of all he loved the Lord. He knew he was loved and although his journey with us has come to an end, we are ever more comforted in knowing that he has begun his eternal life with God, our Savior!

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence, Sherrill, Otha, Walter, Ernest, Arby, Marvin (Demp), and Robert, Jr.; and sisters, Eulene, Vida, Virginia, Lola, Carolyn, Clara, and Cara.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Ward Carter; children, Darryl Carter, Bryan Carter, and Kimberly Carter Hamlett; grandchildren, Quinn, Sean, Michael, and Erica; brother, Jimmy Carter and sister, Ora Faye Rushing.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Maple Springs Cemetery with Bro. Damon Olsen officiating. Burial will follow the service.

Pallbearers to serve will be Jeff Cornatzor, Jeff Thorson, Jeff Floyd, Jerry Crocker, Johnny Schultz, and Tommy Lomax.

T.C. (Dad) we love and miss you tremendously, and look forward to rejoicing with you in Heaven.
