Funeral services for Tien Van Dam, age 70, will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel with Father Charles Filiatreau and Don Van officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Tien died June 6, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Tien Dam was born on April 2,1948, in Tay Ninh, Vietnam, the son of the late Mr. Lai Van Dam and Mrs. Tran thi Tu.
Tien was an officer of the Vietnamese Military (pre 1975). He was also a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, and a sexton at St. Luke's.
Tien is survived by his spouse Thuy Ho, One daughter Hieu Dam and husband Han of Jackson, TN., One son Hau Dam and wife Nhi of Jackson, TN., four grandchildren, Nhut, Tuyet, John and Justin, four sisters, Dieu Dam, My Dam and Ranh Dam of Vietnam, and Nuong Dam of Texas.
Pallbearers to serve are Hau Dam; Han Nguyen; Nhut Nguyen; Tam Nguyen; Dai Dang; Sang Dang.
The family will receive friends on June 9, 2018 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel.
