

Trilba Virginia Duck, 95, passed away January 28, 2016, in Jackson. She was born on Aug 6, 1920, in Benton Co., Tennessee, the daughter of Tom and Lela Henry. Trilba was a member of Cambell Street Church of Christ and the YaHoo Club. She loved to garden and sew. During retirement she began 16 years with the YMCA babysitting many, which she called her ‘babies’.
Trilba was preceded in death by her parents, 10 siblings, husband Star Baker, and husband James Duck, and stepson Wayne Duck.
She is survived by daughter Carolyn McClure and her husband Lynn, from Jackson, step daughter Dorothy Nanney, from Arnold, Missouri; granddaughters Lynnette Howell, from Jackson and Lynae McClure, from Portland, Oregon; step grandsons Brian and Ernie Nanney, from Arnold, Missouri; 3 great-grandchildren, Alicia Whitis, Cheryl Gardner, and Cory Cronin, 6 step great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren, 1 step great great grandchild; and many loved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to a charity of their choice.
Services: Visitation will be Sunday 1:00-4:00 and funeral Monday at 10:00 at George A Smith & Sons, North Chapel, Jackson. Internment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Sugar Tree.
