Veda Hailey

Veda M Hailey, 87 of Jackson passed away at her home surrounded by family on Friday, January 21, 2011. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 23rd in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial to follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

Veda, was born on July 22nd, 1923 to the late J.O. Patterson, and Estelle Morton Patterson, She was the first child of eleven, and was married on December 27, 1941, to the late J. D Hailey. She was truly devoted to her family, and friends whom will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her son Mr. Gerald “Jerry” Hailey of Little Rock, AR , 5 sisters Elvie Lee Sanders, Ann Harty, Ellna Mae Roland, Allie Faye Sheffield, all of Chester County, and Barbara Sue Smith of Bartlett, TN. 2 Brothers James L. Patterson of

Chester County, and Charles C. Patterson of Pekin, Ill.

4 Grandchildren, James Andrew Hailey, Gerald Scott Hailey, Angela Hailey Gunnels, and J. Christopher Hailey, all of Little Rock, AR, and 7 Great Grandchildren, as well as 22 nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, and her loving husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, an infant twin to Mrs. Ellna Mae Roland, Arvie M. Bishop, and 1 brother Earnest Ray Patterson.

The Family is accepting friends at the North Chapel on Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 12:00 P.M until the time of the Service at 2:00 pm.
