Wilson Floyd "Willie" Watkins, age 73 of Michie, passed away on February 4, 2018 at Jackson General Hospital. 
He was born on August 16, 1944 in Portageville, MO, the son of the late Charlie and Jessie Watkins. Wilson retired from service in the United States Navy for 22 years. Afterwards, he worked at the shipyards in South Carolina. After settling in Michie, TN, he worked for Southern Concrete for 21 years. Wilson was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his wife, Martha. 
He is survived by his wife, Martha Elder Watkins; his children, Tammy Watkins LaTour, Patricia Marshall, Holly Francis, Virginia Taylor, Jimmy Rooker, Bonnie Sue Leroux, Roy Lucas, Jr. (Bubba), Cathy Baena, Christina Lucas, and Jeffrey Lucas; two sisters, Cathy Yeitz and Mary Alessi, and a brother, Carl Watkins. He also leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Wilson will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial following in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m., one hour prior to the service.

Active pallbearers serving will be Jimmy Rooker, Randall Francis, Rick Yeitz, Mark Gentry, Jeff Gentry and Rick Lucas, Jr. (Bubba)
