Albert Levy

Albert Levy, 88, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 24th , 2015. He was born July 2nd ,1926 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was preceded in death by Alix Schaul Levy, loving sisters, Victoria Schauer and Lillian Borgh. He is survived by children, Adele (Thomas) Lewis, Allison (Freddy) Bailys, Cathy Bowyer, Lewis (Bonnie-Sue) Levy, Helene (Randy) Reynolds. Proud Grandfather of Gregory Henry Lewis, Alix Claire Lewis, Rocky Jay Bowyer, Nikki Bailys, Rebecca Levy, Lara Levy, Sara Anne Bowyer and nieces and cousins.

Albert graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, served in the US Army during WWII and graduated from the University of Florida. He was comptroller of Wood-Hopkins contracting company for over 30 years. Albert was an avid Gator fan, having football season tickets for over 50 years and a house lovingly cluttered with hundreds of Gator paraphernalia.

Albert will be remembered for his love of family, especially his grandchildren, faith and generosity. He will always be known for his kind spirit.

The family would like to thank the many caretakers who looked after Dad over the last few years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alix Schaul Scholarship Fund at the Martin J Gotlieb Day School or Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 25th , at 1:00pm in New Center Cemetery, located at 43rd and Liberty Streets, in Jacksonville, FL. with Rabbi Jonathan Lubliner officiating
