Alexander R. D’Agnillo, Sr., 91, of Jacksonville, FL departed this life on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucille L. (nee Bucci), his mother, father and brother. Born on March 16, 1930 to Vincent and Matilda D’Agnillo in Bronx, New York. He and Lucille were married for 65 years until her death in 2017. He will be greatly missed by his son Alexander V. (Laurel) and daughter Robin Carner (Ted), five grandchildren: Colton, Clayton, Beau, Ava and Ben of New Zealand. A host of other family members will miss him dearly also. Alex attended Barnard Baruch College and Westchester Community College where he earned a degree in Business Administration and Construction Technology. He spent over 40 years in the building material and construction industry before he and Lucille retired to Florida from Hackettstown, New Jersey. Alex spent 2 years in the U.S. Army as a Tank Company Commander, 1st Lieutenant. He had a likeable nature, good sense of humor and a great love of family and friends that made him a favorite in the Summerfield, Florida community of Del Webb’s Spruce Creek to which he and Lucille retired to. Alex was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Michael the Arc Angel Catholic Church in Belleview, Florida. A mass will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church and interment will be in the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
