Alexander Marc Newman

Alexander Marc Newman was born on August 19, 1994 in Princeton, New Jersey to Bill Newman and Sheryl Johnson. He passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. Alex lived in Apple Valley, Minnesota until 2007 when his family moved to Florida. He attended the University of Georgia.

Alex was always ready to share his unique perspective on the world, and was happiest when pursuing activities in nature. He loved to hike and boat, and lived his passion for anything with an engine by off-roading in his truck or riding his motorcycle.

Alex is survived by his father Bill Newman, his mother and step-father, Sheryl and Todd Johnson, his sister, Carey Newman, his step-brothers Matt and Craig Johnson, his grandmother, Toby Ackerman, his grandparents Bill and Ginny Newman, and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins that loved him dearly.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate his Life will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 4171 Hendricks Avenue, on August 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., and a lunch reception will follow at Epping Forrest Yacht and Country Club. Interment will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the JFCS DuPont Counseling Group or the Epilepsy Foundation of NE Florida.
