

Alexander Scott Urquhart passed away on July 18, 2017 after a nine month battle with cancer. He was 29 years old. His accomplishments included a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from the University of Florida in 2010, and a Master’s Degree in accounting from the University of North Florida in 2012. He earned the distinction of Certified Public Accountant in 2015, and Certified Information Systems Auditor in 2016. He specialized in information systems internal auditing, and was employed by several large firms including Florida Blue, KPMG, and CSX Transportation.
He is survived by his wife, Dayeon Jung, who took extraordinary care of him through his last days. Also surviving him is his mother, Julie S. Urquhart; his father, John A. Urquhart; and his chocolate Labrador, Lulu Urquhart. He had many friends who stood by him during the last nine months and their support strengthened him.
Alex was a very kind and generous person who always put others before himself. He enjoyed the finer things in life and his drive led to achieving any goal he set for himself. Alexander’s hobbies included video games, fishing, traveling, gambling, sporting events, and pizza. He will be missed by all that knew him.
