Alice Hill Walker

Alice Hill Walker, 87, passed away on August 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of steady devotion, generous warmth, and a life well lived. Born on March 18, 1939, Alice was deeply loved, and her presence made the everyday brighter for those fortunate enough to know her.

A true worker at heart, Alice built a remarkable career that reflected both determination and pride in a job done right. Beginning in 1980, she worked at the Gator Bowl stadium and continued on as it became the Jaguar's stadium. She ran the Jaguars merchandise warehouse and later served by checking in employees—roles that suited her reliable spirit and her natural way with people. Her sense of adventure also carried her beyond home, traveling with the Jaguars to New Orleans and Arizona, embracing each trip with curiosity and confidence.

Alice’s life was anchored in love—quietly given, faithfully shown, and deeply felt. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Sheider and husband Tom, daughter Paula walker, grandkids Robert, Sam, Jennifer, Sara, and great grandkids Marley, Ryley, Liam, Schuyler, and Lexi. She is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Walker, and daughter, Susan K. Walker.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Arlington Baptist Church, 6009 Arlington Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32211, on August 29, 2026, at 12:00 pm.

In remembering Alice, we celebrate a beloved woman whose kind heart, steadfast work ethic, and adventurous spirit left an enduring imprint—a life that continues in the family she cherished and in the many memories held close by those who loved her.
