Allen Ramon Rutherford III, age 21, passed away on June 16, 2025. Born on June 8, 2004, Allen was a thoughtful and caring young man whose quiet strength and warm spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Allen was the beloved son of Chadea and Allen Rutherford Jr., and the cherished brother of J’Niya, Alijah, and Liam. He is also survived by his loving Grandma Gerri, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
He is preceded in death by his Grandma Marlene, Papa Walter, his Granddad Al Sr., and his younger brother Jameson, with whom we take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with in heaven.
Allen had a deep love for sports, gaming, and streaming, and was known for his quick wit, gentle heart, and calming presence. Though soft-spoken, he had a way of lighting up any room with his smile and spirit. He brought joy to others through humor, compassion, and his natural ability to make people feel seen and supported.
For nearly a year, Allen worked for HMS Host at the Jacksonville International Airport, where he built meaningful connections with coworkers and left a lasting impression on those he met. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or a moment of laughter, Allen always found ways to show up for others and make them feel at ease.
To those who knew him best, Allen was known by many names: Al, LA, Trilogy, and his favorite OG the GOAT. Each nickname carried a memory, a smile, and a reflection of the special connection he had with the people in his life. Whether you called him by one of these or simply 'Allen,' you knew you were in the presence of someone truly unforgettable.
Allen is a Christian who believes in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and was a member of Elevate Life Church. His family takes comfort in the words of 2 Corinthians 5:5–9, knowing that while he is absent from the body, he is present with the Lord. His faith assures us that this is not goodbye, but a ‘see you later’ because we will meet again.
Allen will be deeply missed and forever loved. His life, though brief, was a light that will never fade.
A memorial service will be held at 10am, Friday, July 11, 2025 at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, 4801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville 32207.
