Alvie Lee Jordan, 83, passed away on May 7, 2015. He was born in Briscoe, NC December 29, 1931 to Gurney F and Bernice Jordan. Alvie proudly served his country in the United States Army. He owned Superior Truck Service for 10 years; finished his career at Carolina Freight as terminal service manager where he retired. Alvie was a Mason and Charter Boat Captain.
Survived by son, Bart Dale Jordan, daughter-in-law Barbara, grandchildren: Alex Lee Jordan, Devin Marie Jordan, siblings: Ola Mae, Jerlene(“Jerri”), Bleece, Melvin and Marion, also his longtime partner Carole Callin and her son Brett Callin.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 30 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
