HEWETT, Amanda Lauren Hewett of Jacksonville, passed away May 30, 2009 after a courageous and brave battle with leukemia. Amanda was an inspiration to those around her as she dealt with her disease with dignity and grace. She is survived by her parents Chuck and Kim Hewett; a sister, Erica Hewett; a brother, Chad Hewett; and her fiancé Daniel Clark. She is also survived by her Grandparents Charles and Shelby Hewett and John and Kitty Smiley and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Amanda was preceded in death by grandmother, Betty Jane Smiley. Visitation will be held Wednesday (TODAY) from 4 – 6 PM and funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday June 4, in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home with Rev. F. Ray Turner officiating with the eulogy by her Uncle Phillip. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Moffitt Cancer and Research Institute, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612-9416 or the Leukemia Society.
