Andrew “PJ” Earl Gilmore was born August 14th, 1993, in Roanoke, Virginia. Andrew spent twelve years of his beautiful life in Roanoke, before moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 2006. Andrew attended Creekside High School and was a member of the 2012 graduating class.
As a young child, Andrew began having a great appreciation for family, friends, sports, and animals; an appreciation that grew stronger as the years passed. For many, Andrew was the handsome young man who had a beautiful smile; for others he was the young man with a unique sparkle in his eyes. Andrew was always a sharp dresser, and many will remember him for his love of shoes. Andrew was someone who excelled at sports including baseball, basketball, and pool. Andrew was very intelligent, often stating facts that no one ever knew. He always set goals high for himself and those around him. Andrew received accolades for his strong work ethic, commitment to success, and natural drive to achieve great results. Andrew was most recently employed by Enterprise Selling Solutions, and took great pride in working with that organization.
Andrew loved life from the moment he came into this world. He cherished relationships and invested greatly in his family and friends. Andrew was a huge fan of the New England Patriots and could sit for hours discussing details about the team. He loved all types of music ranging from old school rock to the newest top forty tunes. Andrew was also an animal activist, often rescuing dogs and cats, bringing them home to care for them. Andrew’s heart was generous, his personality strikingly outgoing, and his smile infectious. Those who met Andrew, regardless of where they were, never met a stranger. He was always the first to welcome someone into a room, introduce himself, and strike up a conversation full of laughter and smiles.
Andrew is survived by his mother, Karen Gilmore and Pierre Gerligand of Jacksonville, Florida; his father, Steve Gilmore and Kaye Gilmore of Roanoke, Virginia; sister, Terra Gilmore Cash (husband, Justin) of Jacksonville, Florida; his sisters, Emily Gilmore and Kristen Dulaney of Roanoke, Virginia; his grandparents, Shirley and Earl Childress of Roanoke, Virginia and Pierre and Elise Gerligand of Donges, France; his uncle, Curtis B.
