

In loving memory of Ange-Marie Dornévil 1942-2017. Ange was born in a small town called Petite-Riviére de L’artibonite in Haiti. She was born of Philistin Dornévil and Marguerite André. She studied and became an obstetrician nurse at Albert Schweitzer’s hospital in Deschappelles, Haiti. Later on in 1980, she relocated to New York in pursuit of a better life, where she continued her career in nursing. Ange was a very serious, yet kind person and a devout believer. She was the co-founder of her church and took her faith very seriously.
Ange enjoyed traveling, she had traveled throughout America; New York, Pennsylvania and Florida. She had also been to Sweden, Canada as well as her native Haiti. Ange was a compassionate person, she gave even when she received very little in return. She also spent most of her life caring for the elderly. She was a fashionista of her time and was a very talented seamstress and enjoys interior decorating. She also had a very good sense of humor and enjoying telling and laughing at her own jokes.
On Sunday March 12th, 2017, Ange passed away at Community Hospice in Jacksonville. She is survived by her son Wille-Ebert and his wife Latrese André of Florida, her daughter Sherley and husband Tobias Johansson of Sweden, seven grandchildren, Bianca, Schadée, Isabel, Miles, Taylor, Oskar and Sebastian and two great grandchildren Nevaeh and Noah, three brothers Jean-David Dornévil and family, Kernizan Dornévil and family as well as Monrinvil Dornévil with wife Marie Alta- Grace Dornévil and sons Pradel Dornévil and Alex François and family. She is also survived by her uncle Ton André, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 24th from 6 pm - 8 pm at the Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl. 32211. A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, March 25th at 11 am.
