ANTONIO ALVAREZ

June 12, 1933December 31, 2010

Antonio Alvarez, 'Papa', 77, passed away December 31, 2010. He was born in Havana, Cuba. Antonio proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a retired machine operator. Spending time with his family was his passion. He was an avid Gator fan and also loved baseball. Antonio is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Norma. He is survived by a loving family which includes his son, Antonio Alvarez and wife Cindy; daughters, Norma Alvarez-Burdish and husband Kevin, Regina Meridth and husband Chuck; grandchildren, Joshua and wife Nicole, Michael, Trey, Nicky, Jenny, Lanie and Sammy Ray; many nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends for visitation on Tuesday, January 4 and Wednesday. January 5, 2011 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 6, 2011 in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S.
