Antonio Placencia Juvier, 59 years old, loving father and husband passed away after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer in the early hours of February the eighteen at his Jacksonville home with his family by his side.
Mr.Placencia was better known by his family and friends by his nickname Toñy. He was born in Cuba where he graduated from the Polytechnic Mario Dominguez as an Accountant in 1982. He worked in The Commerce and Gastronomy Industry in Quemado de Guines, Villa Clara Cuba. When given the opportunity to come to the United States, he decided to leave Cuba behind to provide a better life for his family. Antonio worked day and night to achieve the American dream for his family, and he did. Antonio enjoyed telling jokes and stories while spending time with his family. Fishing, bird watching, and dominos were just a few of the many hobbies he loved.
A service for Antonio will be held by Fr. Rodolfo Godinez on the 12th of March at 10:00 am for his family and friends to pay their respects. The address is Oaklawn Chapel and Cemetery 4801 San Jose Boulevard Jacksonville, Fl 32207.
