Dr. Ilano was my Dr for more than 20 years, I'll miss him terribly. He was one of the finest and intelligent people I have ever met. In the late 1960's, I met him when practiced Medicine with Dr. C.C. Mendoza at 320 W. Ashly St. I don't recall what prompted my visit to his office once, but I was stunned and surprised when he offered to take me fishing! Me, a nobody, being invited by a Doctor to go fishing...I did not go, but wished many times that I did, I've always taken bragging comfort in telling others about is invitation to me. What a great guy he was, his wife, Tessy as he clled her (Ibelieve) was always very kind to me and my wife (Ann). I so ashamed of myself for letting so many years pass without contacting him prior to his passing.
I miss him so, I can only imajine what grief his wonderful family must ne going through.....God bless this man's soul.

Shalom...May your hearts be comforted by The God of all Comfort, even Jesus Our Lord. Thank U, for sharing your Patriarch and Father with this city and community. I will never forget his advice to my parents concerning my tonsils..He said, Leave those tonsils alone, they will be a blessing to him, in years to come. And he was right!!!..Much Love to The Ilano Family....Blessed Be His Memory....A.L. Luster
