A native of Jacksonville, Arthur George Yeager attended local public schools and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School as a member of the January class of 1952. He is a recipient of the Jackson Key, given only to an exceptional and exemplary student. He has had extensive experience in his practice areas of law. He has testified as an expert witness in litigation matters relating to his field of practice. He worked full-time as a U.S. Patent
Examiner while attending George Washington University Law School at night, and is a Registered Patent Attorney. Formerly an associate of George H. Baldwin and then his partner in Baldwin & Yeager, Arthur later became a sole practitioner for many years prior to joining ADDMG as of counsel in 2009, until returning to private practice in 2011. He has served on various committees of the Florida Bar (honored as a 50-Year FL Bar member in June 2010), the Jacksonville Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Florida
Bar and a former member of the American Bar Association. Mr. Yeager was active at one time as a Certified Teacher in the State of Florida, and has
been a substitute physics and sciences teacher. He has given several presentations relating to patents and the patent process at independent inventor symposiums and conferences.
A former President of the Jacksonville Exchange Club, a member club of the National Exchange Club, including 5 years as Florida District Director and as Vice-President. Most recently he served on the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Exchange Club. He was active as a volunteer with the Boy's Club of Jacksonville Board of Directors and with the First Coast Family Center, now known as the Exchange Club Family Center of Jacksonville, a Center dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. He was very patriotic, loved the United States of America, spent two years in ROTC while at the University of Florida and completed Army boot camp at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. Art loved his family and friends and believed loyal and trustworthy friends were the greatest treasures and riches in life. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Elizabeth S. Yeager, his parents George and Emily, his nephew Michael Yeager and his beloved eldest brother Floyd G. Yeager, Esq.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Elisa, his brother Joseph G. and sister Margaret E. Nieces Jodi, Meri and Lisa, his goddaughter Karen Sheard and dear friends and neighbors Von and Jennie Gilbert, Patsy Brooks and Jim Fortenberry from his days at Andrew Jackson, Larry Rolfe, Gary Watson, Dan Coffman, Jay Severance and Doyle Varnes from the Exchange Club of Jacksonville; Friends from St. Paul’s Catholic Church Riverside including Helen and Bill Lyons, Kate Fetzer, Mike and Madeline Sheridan, Ron and Sue Masucci and countless others. He loved to attend concerts, plays and movies and believed that it was important to always try new things and never to be afraid to fail, only to fear not being brave enough to live life fully and experience all the world has to offer.
