

Aziz Yousef Qandah, 91, passed away in Jacksonville Florida, on June 22, 2016. While living in Jordan, Mr. Aziz Yousef Qandah was the Army Band Master of King Hussein’s Army Band and first clarinetist. Upon moving to the United States, he opened his own business as a Tailor with noteworthy clients as Mickey Stanly, Norman Cash, and Dick McCollough of the Detroit Tigers. After moving to Arkansas he was the preferred Tailor of Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas. He was predeceased by his first wife Jamileh Farhat Qandah; his brothers, Mousa and Anton; his sisters, Nijmeh and Mariam. He is survived by his second wife, Karima Hassan Qandah; his sons, Basem, Victor and Khader; his daughters, Lamis Fleischer and Lorece Akel; 13 grandchildren, Olden Akel, Natalie Qandah, Omar Akel, Aziz Nicholas Qandah, Christina Williams, Jameeleh Carmichael, Mark Akel, Nicole Kandah, Michelle Hughey, Kristin Welk, Michael Qandah, Nicole Fleischer, and Stephanie Qandah); 12 great grandchildren, Andrew Williams, Abby Williams, Noah Williams, Luke Williams, Colin Carmichael, Anna Hughey, Lena Qandah, Chloe Carmichael, Josef Basem Qandah, Zachary Nicholas Qandah, Amelia Akel and Connor Akel.
