

Bankie Linebarger, 100, passed away on November 2, 2013 in Ringgold, GA in her home. She was surrounded by love when she fell asleep to her final rest. She was born in DeRidder, LA on September 21, 1913 to the late D. S. and Annie Johnson the second daughter of five girls.
She was a blessing to everyone who knew her and though she is the one treasured, like an exquisite gem, unique and lovely, she made everyone feel treasured.
She graduated from Southern Jr. College in Collegedale, TN in 1933, receiving a degree in accounting. She married Glen Linebarger of Greenville TN, in 1938 a marriage lasting 63 years mostly in Jacksonville, FL. She managed his dental practice approx. 40 years until retirement. They were lifelong members of the SDA church, in Jacksonville, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. J. Glen Linebarger; one son J David Linebarger; and twin great great grandsons Preston and Alex. Survivors include four grandchildren; Glenna Bankie Turner, Barbara Sue Hanson, Charles David Linebarger,and Robert Bertram Linebarger, six great grandsons; Taylor and Justin Marcus, Christopher and Bradley Hanson, Charles and Cody Linebarger,four great- great- grandchildren, sister Bobbie Stump, sister-in-law Elizabeth Linebarger Seaton and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 10 at one o’clock in the afternoon at The Oaklawn Chapel. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery on Monday at eleven o’clock in the morning. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, THE OAKLAWN CHAPEL, 4801 San Jose Boulevard is serving the family.
