DOUGLAS-Barbara Ann Douglas, born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 24th, 1950, passed away on March 5, 2010 in Jacksonville. Barbara was brought up in Lynn, MA and attended English High School where she graduated in 1969. Barbara moved to Florida in the mid 80’s with her sister Judy while attending secretarial trainingand ended up working for the State of Florida as a Secretary Specialist. Although she always had a place with us, Barbara was fiercely independentand insisted on living on her own but kept very close to us. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by us, always in our hearts and prayers. Survivors include sisters, Judy Wells (Dennis) and Sandra Harris (Bobby); a brother, William Douglas (Debbie); cousin, Mary Ann Smith; several nieces, nephews and loving friends.A celebration of the Mass will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 742 Arlington Rd. N. The family will receive friends at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd, from 6 -8 p.m. Thursday March, 11, with a Vigil service at 7 p.m.
