Barbara Willson Kirby, 89 of Jacksonville, died March 30, 2012. Born on March 18, 1923 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of Alfred and Alice Willson. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Frank Kirby. She is survived by her sons Rick Kirby ( Angela ) of Atlanta, Scott Kirby ( Candi ) of Jacksonville, Gregg Kirby ( Laura ) of Gulf Breeze, FL., her brother Frank Willson ( Lois ) of Tavares, FL., six grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. After working briefly in New York, she joined National Airlines as a flight attendant home-based in Jacksonville. After a short career with National, she was full time in the home. She later worked in the family business, Adams Automotive, for years before retiring. After retirement, she enjoyed friends, family, volunteering in the church office and reading. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church, 6133 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl. 32217.
