Barret Brown

Barret Brown, 65, passed away on August 20, 2013, in Jacksonville, FL. Barret was born in Jacksonville on August 28, 1947. She was the daughter of Connor Brown and Claude Nolan Brown. She graduated from St. Johns Country Day School, class of 1965, and Wesleyan college, Macon, GA, class of 1969. She was Executive Vice-President of Claude Nolan, Inc. Barret is a sustaining member of The Junior League of Jacksonville and member of Timuquana Country Club and the Ponte Vedra Club.

Barret is survived by her sisters Claudette Brown Helmick (John) and Lila Byrd Brown; a nephew, Marc Alexander Helmick (Susan), and a niece, Allison Helmick Nicholson (Bill); great nieces, Ashley Nolan Helmick and Chase Pierpont Nicholson and great nephew, Nolan Alexander Nicholson. The family wishes to thank those at Home Instead Senior Care who have been with Barret the last two years.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on August 24, 2013 at 11 AM. The Rev. Jonathan B. Coffey presiding.
