Benjamin Anthony Joseph, Sr., 79, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2015, surrounded by his wife and children. Mr. Joseph was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville and a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a loving husband, father, and papa. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Jeanette; daughter, Veronica Skelly; sons Benjamin Joseph, Jr., Edward Joseph (Nova); grandchildren: Tyler, Ryan, Zachary, Taylor and Brandon; sister Gloria. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Abdo and Sarah Joseph (Yazgi), sister Elaine, brother Forest. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be held from 3-5pm on Sunday, May 3 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, May 4 in St. Joseph's Historic Catholic Church, 4214 Loretto Rd followed by entombment in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
