Betty Canova passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Mrs. Canova was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Raymond; 2 sons: Raymond and Anthony; 5 brothers, Franklin, Harold, Reese, Brian and Alan; and one sister, Irene Baker. She is survived by three children; Becki (Canova) Fiorello, Gary Canova, and Kevin Canova. In addition, she is also survived by 4 sisters, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Betty was born in 1931 in Laurel, Maryland. Starting in 1952 she served as a secretary on Capital Hill in Washington DC, where she met and soon married Raymond Canova. In 1967 they relocated to Doctors Inlet, Fl. where they raised their family.
In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to the Alzheimers / Dementia Association of your choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Hardage Giddens Oaklawn Chapel , 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville. Florida 32207, where a Celebration of Life service will be held in her honor at 10am, Saturday December 23, 2017.
