

Betty Louise (Perritt) Harper, age 92, a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida died peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Born to Earl R. & Lottie W, Perritt of Jacksonville on March 14, 1927. Married for 61 years to Robert M. Harper. She was preceded in death by Robert, her parents & her brother Earl R. Perritt, Jr. (Marian).
She is survived by her 5 children, Dr. Robert Harper, Jr. (Geri), Lawrence Harper (Marie), Judith Hill, Stephen Harper (Carol) & William Harper; her 9 Grandchildren & 15 Great-Grandchildren, Christine (& Clint) Betlock (Trevor, Shawn & Aubrey), Michael (& Miranda) Harper (Kyle, Sebastian & Logan), Garry Harper (Noah & Riley), Tracy Hodsdon (Mitchell & Megan), Robin Harper, Heather Augustyniak (Elizabeth), Danielle Key (Evan & Austin), Kelly Harper, & Stephen (& Kala) Harper (Landon & Lily).
After marrying the love of her life, Robert M. Harper "Bob", she enjoyed a fulfilling family life. Betty retired after many years of service through the Duval County Public Schools at Landon Middle School. She enjoyed many sports & was an avid bowler & golfer, serving several years as President of the Mill Cove Ladies Golf Association. She spent countless hours on the St. John's River with her family; boating, fishing, shrimping, skiing & all sorts of vacations and activities. Betty & Bob enjoyed their retirement together visiting family & friends, including many trips to Las Vegas, Reno & Biloxi to shoot craps or play Blackjack. The home that they created together was special & lives on through those who were fortunate to have her in their lives. She will be dearly missed.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 11:00 a.m.,Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Boulevard, Jacksonville, Fl, 32211 with Dr. M. Keith Foskey officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to honor Bob to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
