HENDRICKS – Betty Jean Hendricks, 83, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 after a lengthy illness. A native of Waycross, GA, she had made her home in Jacksonville for most of her life. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and had retired as an insurance underwriter. Betty Jean loved her son and grandchildren very much. Her surviving family includes: her son, R. Wayne Hendricks; a granddaughter, Andrea M. Rhodes; a grandson, Aaron M. Hendricks; a great granddaughter, Kaleigh M. Hendricks; a nephew, Edward (Hilda) Migues and 2 devoted caregivers, Henry and Wanda Howard. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9, at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave., with Pastor George Kratochvil officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM for the hour prior to the funeral service.
