Mrs. Betty Peeples, 90, went to be with her Lord on Friday, September 3, 2021. Mrs. Peeples was a member of E.44th Street Baptist Church for many years and currently a member of Dunns Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed her "Faithful Workers" Sunday School Class. She retired from Southern Bell after many years of service.
She was predeceased by her parents, Irwin and Elma Lee Hartley; her husband, Charles "Jay Bird" Peeples; a son, Chuck Peeples; and sisters, Shirley Blume and Donna Knulesky. Survivors include her son, Mark Peeples; Sisters, Barbara Crosby and Merle Morgan; brother, Sonny Hartley (Linda); and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 16, at Dunns Creek Baptist Church, with Pastor Dave Malmberg officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:AM to 11:AM, at the church. Interment will be at 2:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery (Lane # 2).
