Gary and Annette remember Bonnie very well. Her Dad Frank Mays would speak of her often and when she would come to visit,  she always blessed us with singing and playing the piano. She was the apple of her dad’s eye and he was so proud of her. He would often tell stories of taking her to piano lessons.  When she relocated to Jacksonville she attended services regularly.  She played a great part in the” The Life Giver” a production that Southside Assembly put on for several years.  Bonnie would call us on different occasions and would visit us  in be our home.  I have very fond memories of Bonnie and I will miss her sweet smile and her love for the Lord.  Rest in peace Bonnie and give Pastor Mays a big hug from the Campbell’s.

Bonnie was my first friend when I got saved at her daddy's church in 1972... we have been dear friends ever since even though we lost touch for a period of time. The past 5 years were really special to me. I was able to visit her in Florida and we talked several times a week.  How I miss you "Beanie"! But I know you are celebrating in heaven with your sweet Daddy. Until we meet again in Heaven!

Bonnie, a friend, and her family a member of my family through the years.  So many memories, it's hard to select .... from coming out to the house and hanging out or swimming in our pool.  We'd stay up late, play cards, and watch old old black and white comedies like Charlie Chapman or a scary movie and then laugh!  As she traveled, she would fly into town with only hours notice and call to say 'can you pick me up at the airport?' and spend a day or 2 or 3 and off she flew again. LOL   Her free and spontaneous spirit fit her middle name "JOY".  What a beautiful name.  When life got tough, Bonnie got tough and prayed through, holding on to the faith that God gives each one of us, if we will but reach out and take hold of Him.  For it is Him that gets us through the highs and lows in life as He walks ahead of us, beside us and behind us.  For the past 20 years, it was not uncommon to receive a phone call late at night to talk.  With Bonnie, it was almost always a long phone conversation.  We laughed, sang, cried, and prayed together!   I will miss her greatly.  I love you Bonnie.   And I will see you in heaven!   Prayers, love, and friendship to the family,   Dolly

I offer my condolences for Bonnie’s passing. She was a talented musician and a long-time family friend. We know that she is resting with the Lord in heaven singing with the angels.

I traveled with Bonnie in the 70's. She was a gifted singer and a good person.  She is now  in the loving arms of Jesus and i am happy that we will meet again on the other side. Rest in Heavenly Peace, Bonnie!
