

Brian Edward James King, 86, died peacefully in his sleep on Dec. 10, 2011. He was born November 15th, 1925 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. He and his family moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1971. He was a WWII veteran who served in the British Navy.
He retired from Southern Bell and attended Arlington Assembly Of God.
After a tremendous battle and courageous fight, Brian’s journey ended peacefully during his sleep. He was preceded in death by a son, Graham John King, 29 years old in 1993.
Brian is survived by his wife, Joan of 63 years, three daughters, Carole, Susan, Linda and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 15 from 6 – 8 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL. The service will be Friday, December 16 at 2:00 pm, in the chapel at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
