Bryan Paul Steiger, 47, joined Odin in Valhalla on Sunday December 11th, 2016 (in true warrior fashion after having successfully completed a Spartan race). His earthly adventures began on April 3rd, 1969 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Two years later, he was joined by his brother, Adam Steiger. Bryan’s razor-sharp wit combined with his brother's bravado came to give true meaning to the word “trouble.” Miraculously they managed to traverse their entire adolescence without a single criminal charge, not even a misdemeanor. When his intellectual curiosity outgrew his world, Bryan expanded it by joining the U.S. Navy. During his eight years of service, the same brilliant intellect which had frustrated both teachers and family alike in his early life earned Bryan a position on the staff of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington, D.C. After serving in that role with swagger and distinction, Bryan finished his enlistment onboard the aircraft carrier USS John F Kennedy (CV 67) stationed at the Mayport Naval Station in Jacksonville, FL. Staying in Jacksonville, Bryan turned his B.A. in English Literature into a position as the Director of Information Technology at a prestigious firm simply because he was the kind of smart that could pull that off. Although Bryan's photographic memory (complimented by his highly creative and logical mind) could have taken him to the top ranks of any company, Bryan chose to work side by side with his best friend, Delroy, at Martin Gottlieb & Associates. It was while at this job that he found his one true love: his wife, Adonica. It was she who was truly responsible for bringing the full measure and meaning of joy into Bryan’s life, and Bryan into full blossom. Most recently, in true renaissance man style, Bryan dedicated the majority of his spare time to writing and illustrating his own weekly webcomic: Middleways (Middleways.net<http://middleways.net>). Bryan's searing wit and dark, yet loving, sense of humor will be sorely missed and cherished by all of his family and friends. He is survived by his adoring wife, Adonica Steiger; his mother, Connie Steiger; brothers Adam and Matt Steiger; and sister Leighanna Gray.
