Byrlnne A. Ricketts

Ricketts, Byrlnne A. Stokes Ricketts, age 96, passed on August 8, 2011, surrounded by her family after a long and well lived life. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, nanny, aunt, and friend. She loved her church, family, and her Lord. She was the daughter of John and Emily Stokes, born on the banks of the Suwannee River in Fargo, GA. She has resided in the Switzerland area for over 70 years. She was a charter member of Switzerland Community Church. The widow of Charles R. Ricketts Sr., she is survived by two children, Charles R. Ricketts, Jr. (Karen) of Arlington, WA. and Emily Ann Harper (Jim), of Switzerland, FL. Three grandchildren, Vickie Loftis (Curtis), Robert Bernath Jr. (Nicholl) all of Switzerland, FL and Russell Ricketts (Leah) of Leavenworth, WA. Three great grandchildren, Justin Hunter (Lauren) of Mandarin, FL, Bryant and Emily Loftis of Switzerland, FL. Sister-in-law Georgie Ricketts of Fruit Cove and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Switzerland Community Church with the Funeral Service at 11:00 am also in the Switzerland Community Church, 2179 State Road 13 N, Switzerland, FL 32259, with Pastor Wesley Slough as Officiant, followed by interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Byrlnne to the Switzerland Community Church.
