Carl Andrew Scott II

Carl Andrew Scott II, age 73 of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021. Born on September 9th, 1948 in Savannah, GA. Preceded in death by parents Carl and Mary Scott. Very proud husband to Delores "Dee" (Van Dorpe) Scott, married on July 30th, 1971 and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Carl is celebrated by children Carl (Cassie), Amy (Bill Getzan), Becky; grandchildren Taylor, Will, Caleb, and Cameron; siblings Bill Scott (Randy), Cheryl Sturney (Paul) and Gloria Griffis (Danny); and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

Carl was a Vietnam veteran serving in the 101st Airborne Division and was a graduate of the University of North Florida. Carl was an avid tennis player, runner, hiker, fisherman, and lover of the outdoors, all hobbies his children are proud to have learned from him. He was always reading, learning, and was certainly known for his many jokes and constant laughter. Above all, he loved his family.

A celebration of life will be held for immediate family on Saturday, October 30th. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Lake United Methodist Church or The American Cancer Society.
