Carlos Morante Tamares

He was born in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines, on August 19, 1932, son of the late Restituto and Gregoria Tamares. Loving and faithful husband of 66 years to Lolita Medina Tamares. Great provider and loving father to his seven children, Ellen (Alex) Balmadres, Zenith (Alberto) Ilagan, Divina (Edison) Agito, Arnaldo (Maria Mitos) Tamares, Julan (Yolanda) Tamares, and Menchie (Miguel) Montealegre. He is predeceased by his son, Ronilo Tamares (Glovelinda). Proud and loving grandfather of Gretchen (Fionn) Harney, Denise and Abigail Ilagan, Jo-ann (Carlos) Fernandes, Fidjinourie, and Jillian Kristine Tamares, Kitt Heison (Anna Marie) Agito, Donnie Ray (Joanne) Agito, Jazemin (Nico) Reque, Chelsea and Chelson Tamares, Christllie Anne and Chriselle Marie Tamares, Colby Juan and Kayla Marie Montealegre, and great grandchildren Miguel Andrei Tamares and Catriona Kanne Agito. Loving brother of Bernardo (Araceli) Tamares, Lina (Rael) Anyayahan, and Dioscorro (Flordeliza) Remulla Jr. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carlos, fondly known as “Carling”, enjoyed life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Growing up in the Philippines, he did not have the easiest life to start with, yet was richly blessed by the Lord throughout his days. He was a devoted husband who was a man of few words, but loved endlessly through his actions. He was deeply loved for his big heart and precious smile. Carlos had a gentle spirit yet was a strong-willed father. He loved and served the Lord and is now in the loving arms of his heavenly Creator. His loving memory will be cherished in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
